The Space

Space allocation, This section is situated inside the Natural History Underground Museum. This section tires to provide the information regarding different bird species via 5 Tablet interaction kept on top of the railing.

The height at which the iPad's placed is at around 3 feet.

The content is presented in the form of YouTube gallery, where the users can play the video and listen to the information provided.
Observations and Insights
During informal testing and user observation, I noticed that people were more engaged when the quiz felt like a story rather than a test. Users, especially children, enjoyed the idea of becoming a bird rather than just receiving a label. Simpler language, expressive illustrations, and a smooth flow kept users curious till the end. One key insight was that users liked sharing their result — making the personality-bird match not just self-reflective, but also social.

Analyzing the Space and Brief

Secondary Research
Audience Behaviour
Since the quiz was intended for a public exhibition space, I studied how visitors — especially families and children — interact in such environments. People often engage in short bursts, are easily distracted, and tend to prefer quick, visual content. This helped shape the quiz into something lightweight, fun, and instantly rewarding.
Content Exploration
To ensure that the experience felt intuitive yet educational, I explored how personality concepts are introduced in early education — through puzzles, role-play, and storytelling. This inspired a tone that’s both casual and playful, helping users connect deeply with their "inner bird" without feeling tested or analyzed.

The experience had to work for both adults and children, so I explored how children process information and interact with digital content. I found that they respond best to vibrant visuals, tap-based interactions, and immediate feedback — all of which shaped the interface and tone of the quiz.

Concept Development
The triangulation of the ideas has led to this concept. The concept is to ask very few and simple questions to visitors. Questions which has some personal significance to them. Like the Name, DOB, Gender, Age, Height, Weight.

Visualizing Concept
It was difficult to imagine , as to how the screens will a caged parrot will tell the fortunes. I was finding it difficult to come up with visuals. Storyboarding helped me found the visuals which will allow me to interact with the visitors.

First Iteration
The format for this was interesting, as the visitors were in 100s of numbers. The short format will allow every visitor a fair chance to experience it. But the issue came as number of visitors dropped and they were spending more time interacting with it.

Second Iteration
This iteration was the transition between tarot cards to soul cards. Here i tried to focus more on building logic behind the quiz and working on the storyline, this storyline allowed me to design the graphics for the next iteration.
Third Iteration
The triangulation of the ideas has led to this concept. The concept is to ask very few and simple questions to visitors. Questions which has some personal significance to them. Like the Name, DOB, Gender, Age, Height, Weight.
